The author

Franck Lisciandro was one of the few and real Jim Morrison’s close friends. Between 1968 and 1971, he worked as photographer for TThhee DDoooorrss and participated to the production of the films Feast of friends and HWY. He ran as well the publication of two posthumous collections of poems by Jim Morrison, Wilderness and The American Night.

The book

This is a new edition, entirely revised and extended of the Lisciandro’s first book, An Hour of Magic, published in USA (1982). This book contains about a hundred of pictures among which a dozen are ABSOLUTELY unpublished until today. Many are as well reproduced here in color for the first time. While in Morrison, a Feast of Friends, Franck Lisciandro let the Morrison’s friends talk, in this book he confides his own memories as a photodiary.

He takes us behind the scenes with The Dorrs, then on the road, with Morrison, between Atlanta and New Orleans or for a tour in some West Coast bars. In this way we find out an "everyday life" Morrison, the man instead of the star, the writer who applies himself to keep his sense of humour in the most unusual circumstances.
